We welcome the new NashJet DTEX 1100 & DTEX 1500 to the Nashakele stable. This sturdy direct-to-textile printer represents state of the art technology. Using specialized dyesublimation inks, it prints directly onto textiles and cures the inks for a permanent print as the fabric moves through the onboard heating mechanism.
The trend throughout Europe is one towards mass customization as opposed to the mass production which became entrenched through the industrial revolution. This equipment allows textile mills to print fabrics for short customized runs, previously impossible. Customers simply bring in artwork for fabrics and have a couple of meters run off for fully customized jobs as required. In addition the equipment can also be used for printing flags or banners in the signage industry. One of the benefits of direct-to-textile printing is that it offers a better strike through rate, i.e. as ink is printed on the one side, it strikes through the fabric for an identical print on the other side, ideal for fabric prints or flags.
The printer can print up to a width of 2,6 meters and the Piezo print heads offer digital photographic resolution of up to 1440dpi. It is fitted with a bulk ink system, eliminating hassles associated with cartridges and the onboard ink recycling system helps to keep ink costs to a minimum.
The patented cylindrical fabric tensioning system in tandem with the electronic fabric “unrolling” system with magnetic coupling, ensures a faultless textile feed off the roll. Alternatively the adhesive fabric stabilizer can be used to ensure a perfect feed when fabric pieces need to be fed through for printing. The adhesive system is designed to combat problems associated with the inherent elasticity of certain fabrics such as lycra.
